A network of individuals working in healthcare in and around Colorado.

Cobalt’s Medical Advisory Committee is a network of individuals working in healthcare, including but not limited to abortion care in and around Colorado. Cobalt elevates the voices of these health care providers so that they can harness their power and expertise to expand access to reproductive rights in Colorado.

Your medical training and compassionate care for patients are the only qualifications required to join the Medical Advisory Committee! The following activities are examples of the ways you can support reproductive rights in Colorado as part of the Medical Advisory Committee:

Participate in legislative outreach and advocacy by emailing or calling legislators.
Become a spokesperson. We provide media training and support for articles, letters, and public comments.
Testify on a bill in committee. We will work with you every step of the way, from preparation to supporting you at the Capitol.
Attend networking and educational events to learn and connect with other healthcare professionals who are passionate about reproductive rights.

I work in the healthcare setting and don't know where to refer a patient for abortion care, where should I start?

You can find the clinics Cobalt Abortion Fund partners with on our “Find A Clinic” page. If the patient is from outside of our region, you can go to ineedana.com to find other clinic options. If a client is scheduled for care at a clinic we are not partnered with, we determine if we have the capacity for "solidarity funding" (funding for a client scheduled at a clinic we do not typically partner with) on a case-by-case basis.

I work in the healthcare setting and want to refer a patient to Cobalt Abortion Fund for funding. How can I make that referral?

If the patient needs help with funding for an abortion, or with travel for their abortion care, you can submit an intake form on their behalf, with their consent, by going to “Get Support.”

I am an abortion care provider and want to get connected with the community. What is the best way to do so?

You can reach out to us to get connected via our Provider & Partner Interest Form, here. The Cobalt Abortion Fund Director will be in contact with you within a week of form submission to discuss ways to get involved!
