Cobalt Abortion Fund has a funding relationship with all of the clinics listed below. Although we cannot guarantee funding, we are usually able to provide funding for the cost of your abortion care, and your travel needs to access that care. Once you have scheduled your appointment with one of the clinics we work with, click “Get Support” to submit a funding request. While our goal is to support as many abortion seekers as possible, we prioritize funding at partner clinics in Colorado when we have lower funding capacity.

For clients in our region (CO, NM, WY, and TX) seeking care beyond 26 weeks, Cobalt Abortion Fund partners with RISE Collective in Colorado and Valley Abortion Group in New Mexico. If a client from our region cannot be seen at either of those clinics, we may be able to provide funding for an appointment at one of our partner clinics on the East Coast.

A note on out-of-state access
While Cobalt Abortion Fund is a Colorado-based fund, we can support folks who live outside of Colorado. Supporting abortion seekers traveling from out of state to access abortion care with our partner clinics is a core part of our work and mission. Our funding is intended to break down barriers for people needing abortion care, which means we will sometimes redirect folks to care options that are closer, logistically easier, or have more funding available for their specific needs.

It is usually easier and preferred if you have an appointment scheduled before submitting an application for funding with Cobalt Abortion Fund. However, it is not a requirement, and if you have questions about where to schedule your appointment or need help making a care plan, our intake team is happy to help refer you to one of the clinics we can provide funding at.
We are not able to support you with funding until you have an appointment scheduled or have decided to get care through one of the telehealth providers we partner with, since we work directly with the clinic for procedure funding.

The decision of if, when, and where to receive abortion care is up to you.
Cobalt Abortion Fund prioritizes funding at our clinic partners in Colorado, but we can typically provide some support to people being seen at any of the clinics we are partnered with.
If you are scheduled at a clinic that we are not partnered with, you can still reach out to us, and we can assess our capacity to assist.
What if I am scheduled for an appointment at a clinic that Cobalt Abortion Fund is not partnered with? Toggle Accordion
Depending on the clinic and our funding capacity, we may still be able to provide funding assistance even if the clinic is not listed in our partner clinic list above.
After submitting our funding request form, please make sure to keep an eye on your email, as we will often email you to let you know if we have the capacity to support you with funding.

We will typically reach out within 48 normal business hours, and respect the safety and communication preferences you indicated on your application. Once we connect with you, we will work with you to coordinate funding and support with your care plan.
